Abstract: 
The author discusses the basic instruments provided by the  UN  Legal Subcommittee on the Peaceful Use of Outer Space, in particular the Declaration of Legal Principles of Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, the Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the use of the Moon and other celestial bodies. We discuss briefly the history of space law formation in Ukraine.
