Abstract:
Principal gerontological problems in space biology are discussed with special emphasis the effects of gravity factors on aging pattern and life span of laboratory insects and rodents. Probable approaches and experimental designs are analyzed for the search of graviprotectors - means aimed to abate harmful effects of micro- and hypergravity. Data on the possibility of using calorie-restricted diets and other geroprotectors as a means for upgrading the tolerance to hypergravity stress are presented.
