Abstract:
The ecological monitoring in the Chernobyl disaster area is based on the use of multiband space images, which have been acquired from, different satellites with varions sensors, in the course of several years, under different imaging conditions. The method of image intercalibration using natural test objects has been developed for correct comparison of multitemporal images. The differences of reflectance spectra between some calibrated images was used for the assessment of changes in the ecological situation.
