Abstract:

The problem of estimating location of a point object on the true Earth surface is solved using images obtained from a spacecraft orbit. No restrictive supposition is laid on the Earth shape. The auxiliary problem of in-flight geometric calibration of onboard imaging camera and star tracker of the spacecraft is also solved
