Abstract:
The results of the investigation of space radiation shielding characteristics of three-layered carbon-fiber reinforced honeycomb structures are presented. A solution to improve these characteristics up to a given level taking into consideration mass restrictions is proposed. The results of calculations and tests to verify the proposed solution are given.
