Abstract:
This paper considers the problem of braking a satellite on a low nearly circular orbit via constant transversal cceleration. We propose to use a new set of variables, describing the motion and taking into account features of the motion on
a nearly circular orbit. We analyzed the main regularities of motion and received the final analytical expressions, allowing to describe the changes of the orbital parameters with a high accuracy.
Keywords: deorbit of objects, orbit changes, small braking acceleration, space debris
