Abstract:
We consider diurnal and seasonal variations of the main ionospheric plasma parameters (electron density, ion temperature, electron temperature, vertical component of plasma transfer velocity) for four characteristic geophysical periods (winter and summer solstices, vernal and autumnal equinoxes) near the solar activity maximum in 2000–2002 in the height range of 110 to 1030 km. For the periods under consideration, a theoretical simulation of dynamic processes in the ionosphere is carried out. Some region features of the main ionospheric parameter distribution are revealed and confirmed. Our results will be used for regional ionospheric model development.
