Abstract:
The paper presents materials on the test bench development of the second startup of the series-produced single-startup steering engine from Zenit-LV operating on liquid oxygen (LOX) and kerosene. Version of scheme provision of the second startup have been considered with minimum alteration of both schematic and design of existing engine. Issues of LOX channel's precooling have been studied with an objective in mind to provide the second startup with minimum LOX ejection due to the precooling. A scheme of engine shutdown after the first startup has been elaborated, which provides a safety of the second startup. An influence has been researched of fuel channel evacuation after the first shutdown on the second startup.
