Some changes of the geomagnetic secular variations are investigated from data obtained at the middle- latitude magnetic observatories «Lviv», «Belsk», and «Leningrad». It is shown that short-period variations are generated by external sources and the values of these variations depend on the solar and geomagnetic activities. It is suggested that some part of the short-period variations is generated by internal sources.
